Meet Betsy Kostolni

I’m Betsy Kostolni, co-founder and CEO of Learning Experience Strategist Services LLC. Based in Wisconsin and serving clients nationwide, I bring more than 25 years of experience as a teacher, curriculum developer, instructional designer, and L&D facilitator. This unique blend of work experience allows me to approach learning design with a broad perspective, bridging the worlds of education and workplace training.

Experience Across Disciplines and Learning Contexts

With a Master of Science in Education (M.S. Ed.) specializing in Curriculum and Instruction, I’ve designed and developed more than 100 competency-based courses across 20+ disciplines, including general academics, cosmetology, welding, marketing, human resources, and more. This breadth of experience has given me a deep understanding of how to translate complex content into engaging, effective learning for K-12, higher education, and corporate learning and development audiences.

A Collaborative, Research-Driven Approach

I develop scalable, multimodal learning solutions that meet institutional standards and align with nationally recognized quality benchmarks. By integrating educational technology, I ensure that learning experiences are engaging, accessible, and aligned with real-world applications.

Collaboration is central to my work. I’ve partnered with faculty, trainers, and leaders across multiple industries to build strong, productive relationships through individualized support and agile project management. Beyond course design, I’ve also led teams in shaping unified departmental missions, visions, and strategic priorities that strengthen cohesion and focus.

A Shared Commitment to Learning

I co-founded L.E.S.S. with my husband, Brandon Kostolni, a technology administrator with more than 30 years of experience supporting educators and advancing digital learning in public schools. Together, we understand how curriculum and technology work together to support meaningful, measurable learning.

We’ve been married for over 30 years and are proud parents to three adult children, which remains our favorite long-term project.
